The Start

Well I guess I should start by saying why this is called the ups and downs of a clysdale. In running and triathlons, which I love to do, they call the big guys (+200lbs) clysdales, therefore the name and at some point and time I will post some pictures.

I hope to share my ups and downs of just daily life and if anyone decides to read this well then the world is a better place.

A little about myself, I am married to an awesome lady by the name of Heather and she just makes my world spin. I am an engineer for Lockheed Martin in Greenville, SC. Ok a bunch of people just said an engineer that does sports stuff??? Yes I love sports and not building a computer in my spare time. I alos have a presonality and can carry on a conversation.

Back to the subject, I go to church and love Jesus Christ and his Father God. I don't plan on this being a relegious blog if it seems to turn into this then so be it.

I am was born in Kentucky and raised in Liberty, NC just outside of Greensboro, NC. (COUNTRY BOY) While I am typing this I am wearing thrermal underwear shirt right now because I think it is comfortable even though my wife hates it.

I moved to Greenville, SC after graduating from UNCC in 2000 and have lived here doing engineering on aircraft for sometime. When I got out of school and started to work I weighed 250 plus pounds. A group of guys and me that were over weight decided to see who could lose 20% of their weight and whoever did first we paid for an expensive supper. I lost but I did end up running like crazy. I love it. I have finished countless 5K's and 10K's, which is where I turned to triathlons. This blog is going to centered around my lazy butt doing workouts and tring to get ready for a possible Ironman in the near future.

Enjoy and let me know how I can better serve you.
