Two things will happen this month, that in the end, will be the biggest accomplishments (or failures but I doubt it!) of my life to this point. I will start training for Ironman and my wife is two weeks away from having our first child. I am really excited about both. I can't wait to see my child for the first time and what he will look like. I also am ready to pound out a crueling training schedule that my wife is on board with that will take time away from my child but we have discussed it in length and it something she wants me to complete and knows how bad I want to do it as well. I have a plan in place that will allow me to be home and train all at the same time. Hopefully that will workout for the wife and I. We will have to see. If anything I will at least go to the Florida Ironman and walk the whole thing... HA HA Yea right.
I am currently still recovering from the race. I feel like I need to do something today which I will probably not have time to do but Thursday is the day I get back into the swing of things by going to the gym and lifting.
So does anyone think it would be better for me to purchase an Ironman training plan? I have the book
Essential Training Guide which has a ton of info and is really detailed. I just feel like I need to get some more resources. I don't know. I seem confused about the whole thing but I guess I will pick one and go with it. I also have Begineer Triahtlon's Ironman training schedule, which is not as detailed but I can get one if I purchase it. I am currently going to go with the Training guide unless I find something that seems better. If anyone has suggestions that would be great.
Have a good day folks...

Ashley,
As you would expect from me, I'll give you a cheap suggestion:
Just use what you have and piece together the rest by surfing the net.
It's not like you don't have time during the day to do this.
