No good awful morning...

So I will start with the weekend...
This weekend was great. My folks came into town and took care of Tobias so me and the wife could run around town and see the US National Cycling Championship here in Greenville. Very cool. We also took Tobias to the pool which was awesome. He seemed to enjoy it, as much as a baby can enjoy something. I had my long weekend and it went great. Did an 85 mile bike on Saturday and a 16.5 mile run on Sunday. Those went well and the weather was great for the rides. Overall the run felt good my legs were dead for the first mile or so but I picked it up from there and had a good run. Monday was an off day and I just hung out around the house and mowed the lawn, which helped to get the acid build up out of my legs. Great weekend.

So this morning I put the bike up on the roof rack and then the front wheel. This was around 6am. I eat some grub and get on my way to work. No more then a mile and I hear something fall off the roof. I go into shock. I get to a place I can turn around and see what had fallen off. It was my front wheel. I guess I didn't lock the skewer hard enough. Anyway, my back locks up after some searching in the dark. I couldn't see where the tire landed. It wasn't in the road and cars weren't rolling over it. Then it started to rain. I ran home and got a flashlight and let the wife know what happened. I feel like CRAP at this point and want to just sit in a corner and scream. I get back out there and the rain is coming down some more and I give up. I go home and tell the wife I am going to work. I tell her if she goes anywhere today to drive by the location to see if she can see it. I may go back out to see if I can find it. Anyway, bad start to a week that was going good. Ohh well.

Here are some baby pics at the pool...
