Well after finishing my 32 min run and coming back into the office last night I started experiencing cold chills and head aches. I decided to call it an evening and head home. Well it just got worse with the cold chills and after a nice little shower to get the STANK off of me I started to hit up. This happens every year and the next day it feels as if a truck has run me over but the temp is gone and I am able to function instead of being curled up in the fetal position on the couch.
Back to the run. I ran with my Brit friend Mercer (Dave Mercer) who is training for the Hilton Head Sprint in a couple of months. He wore me out yesterday I guess due to the whatever I had or...
I forgot to let everyone in on this... I went to a nutritionists so that maybe I would fall out of the category of a Clydesdale for the Ironman! (Yes I know you may be shocked because I know how much the fans enjoy seeing a big guy like myself pounding in at 730 pace with my gut shaking back and forth like I was on Baywatch or something!) Well the wife ( I need a nickname for her on here! Help me out with that!) and I left there pretty pissed off because the guy wants to use appetite suppressant, which has all of these bad side effects and he is dishing them out like a redneck with meth. And all the other info he is passing along is what we have heard since I started doing this stuff. Needless to say 110 Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers later we are pissed off but he did give us some good info and maybe focused me to get this weight off so I don't kill myself for the Ironman.
Back to the run he wore me out because of the cold or the fact that this nutritionists guy said cut back on caffeine. Well that is brutal for a guy that would drink coffee (4 cups or so) then a maybe one coke (YES A SODA!) then maybe sweet tea at night with water in between. Well I was aching yesterday since I haven't had much caffeine except the bit I get in the morning. Anyway, I have lost some weight and I am on a good roll to get to 195 for the Ironman. Which for the Sprint class tri's I would no longer be a clydesdale! Then I would change this blog to The Ups and Downs of the IRONMAN!!!!
