Anyway, I don't know what was wrong with me today but I was just over come with emotion about having a kid soon. It sometimes feels like the hardest thing I will ever have to do and then some days it feels like the greatest accomplishment I could ever achieve. Today it felt like the greatest accomplishment ever!!! I truly believe God has blessed me and my wife with this boy. I hope I don't screw him up to bad. I am sure there will be funny stories about how his Dad got kicked out of a basketball game for yelling at the ref or Dad yelling "Are you kidding me? REALLY???". Well I hope he can laugh at it later as I did with my Dad. Love you Pops!
Ohh yea, I am going backpacking this weekend. I can't wait. I am so pumped. I love being outdoors and camping and holding my own against nature. It is something everyone should try once because there is a sense of accomplishment, like if the world ended today you would be able to survive for a weekend until everything calmed down! Anyway, my boys Lance, Luke, Daniel, and Jason are going to partake of the adventure in Linville Gorge. I hope to post some pics when I get back.
Now to learn something new about the Clydesdale...
I pack like a girl. I really enjoy camping and going on trips but I pack for all emergencies. If a monsoon happens to hit, I am prepared. If an earthquake happens while we are on vacation, I am prepared. If the sun beats down like in the desert, I am prepared. So to say the least my backpack for this weekend is already weighing somewhere around 100 pounds. Should be fun! I love a challenge.
